Writing is harder than talking…

My dad used to say that I was vaccinated with a phonograph needle. I have never been short of something to say. But for some reason the processor in my geekoid “technologist” melon finds it challenging to write those words down. I feel maybe I should call a plumber to clear my writers-blog (I mean block). [I am curious, if apples rule, then why do apple users need to tell the rest of us. I mean don’t you think it would not be necessary to say.] And if I had to pick I think watermelons rule!

You basically answered your own question.

Watermelons can not "rule" because they are very seasonal. Ever try to depend on the watermelon crop in say, December, January, February?

Apples, on the other hand, are pretty much available for production and harvest during every month of the year. True, half of the harvest comes from locations south of the equator, but they are still alwasy sitting there in the grocery store, ready to come home with you and do their job.

"Rule" in all fairness my not be the best choice of words. The expression "rule" is more or less a modern generation way of saying "we have the upper hand" or "we are, over the long haul, far better."

As an example of how "rule" would apply in this case we could say, "Horns Rule." Some might take exception, such as say those who support the agriculture college at Bryan. They would claim "Aggies Rule" based on their win last year in Austin. Of course, they would be wrong because "rule" is not about the latest victory or defeat. "Rule" is more about which of the teams has collected more national championships. In this case, clearly, HORNS RULE. At last count the agriculture college had won ... oh, let's see ZERO national championships. The Horns of course now have FOUR national titles, so clearly they RULE.

Since the choice of "rule" by this example might imply domination, I can see clearly that it is not used in the best total context. So if you please, I will restate my proposition as: Apple Is More User Friendly ... and dependable, and ...

Joe,

I understand the writer's block, but for me it has always been easier to process and write my thoughts and ideas than to speak up with them. I enjoy a place where writing is the mode of conversation....Plus it allows me to spell check and grammar check! I think another blog discussed the personality of people who have to spell everthing right....It must be the teacher in me.

As for Apples....Hum....I like oranges! LOL!(I know not those apples!) :)df
